Another wonderful trip! We travelled to Morocco with Exodus in May and had an excellent experience. From major cities to small camps, the trip gave a taste of Moroccan life and food. Our Group Guide, Mohammad, was excellent and all local guides were very informative. Our driver, Muhammad, was excellent and we always felt safe. The food and accomodations were great. A truly beautiful country and experience.

Had an exceptional holiday with Exodus during which we travelled extensively around Sri Lanka and got a real taste of the country and the people who live there. The itinerary was packed with interesting trips and activities and all of the hotels were very comfortable. We had an excellent local guide who looked after our group brilliantly and became a friend by the end of the tour. This was not the cheapest tour we looked at but we don't regret a penny spent on it because of the quality and attention to detail. Would thoroughly recommend Exodus!

The whole tour was excellent in particular because of the support from the team on the ground. They ensured our every need was met and assisted us with any extra requests like buying and blessing some prayer flags. The accommodation at times was basic but to be expected in this area and made you appreciate good facilities when you got them. The food choices were better than I imagined but less local food as it isn’t popular which was a shame.
A good mix of trekking, comradery and adventure overall with some stunning views of the mountains. A bit more off the beaten track than other tours but all the better for it.

Very helpful and prompt service
Very helpful and prompt service.
I called to check for an already booked trip and once we sorted this, the agent was ready to help me with another booking as well. He actually waited for me to book my flight tickets, answered all my questions, informed me of all my options. Exodus is a tour company I am using regularly due to the quality of their trips, ease of booking and helpfulness of their customer service team

Stunning walking. Walking the Amalfi Coast
This trip takes you through the most beautiful parts of the Mediterranean walking with a guide and also discovering the wonders of Pompeii and Vesuvius. The hotel had a nice feel as family run, spotless and comfortable rooms, we were well looked after for breakfasts and dinner each day, and the barmen fixed some mean cocktails for us.!

Just back from Jordan trip to Wadi Rum, Amman and Petra. Interesting well organised trip with 11 participants.
Fascinating history; great walking; stunning rock formations; experience of wild camping and Bedouin camps. Wonderful food. Camp fires and herbal tea.

It's amazing what you can do in a week! Cycling the Dalmatian Coast.
This holiday was extremely enjoyable. The itinerary is well planned and the route takes you to a variety of destinations. Not having been to Croatia before I didn't know there were so many beautiful small islands and I loved the ferry and catarmaran rides. The coastal route we took was dramatic and the World Heritage sites in Split and Dubrovnik very interesting and worth visiting. The Adriatic Sea was warm, blue and inviting, good for swimming even in October. The hotels we stayed in varied in size from medium to large. I particularly liked the one just outside Dubrovnik as I had a sea view. Tourists were plentiful in Split and Dubrovnik but in the other places we stayed there was an end of season feel and it was quiet on the roads and in the resorts. The food was good and our guide was always able to recommend a nice restaurant for our evening meal. The weather in October was good for cycling - not hot, partly cloudy most days and one day it rained!

We have just returned from a 2 week Exodus trip to Egypt, Alexandria to Aswan. We had a great time, enjoyable company, with an excellent guide, Sayed. All worked out as described. The 3 day Red Sea extension was relaxing. Even the train journey, Cairo to Aswan, was a great part of the experience

I have just returned from the most fabulous cycling holiday to Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. It was without doubt the best holiday you could ever wish for. Excellent in every possible way. Thank you Exodus. I just can’t decide which holiday to do next.

This trip to Romania exceeded my expectations; a brilliant guide, outstanding views, great walks and terrific food in a beautiful hotel. A lovely country with friendly people and clean modern cities but also old traditional villages. A must for all those like me who had never before considered Romania.

I've done 8 trips in the last 14 years with Exodus, and have been rewarded with a 10% discount on all future bookings. I feel very confident that I'll receive pleasant, efficient service, and have the unusual holiday experience that I'm looking for each time. I've trekked to the top of snow-capped peaks, wild-camped in the desert, seen amazing spectacles of nature, visited 4 capital cities in a week, and learned about local culture and experienced local hospitality in a way that I simply wouldn't on a conventional holiday.
The quality of the accommodation and guides can vary, but this is mainly down to cultural differences and things that Exodus can't control. I've only ever complained once, my complaint was taken seriously, and I was sent a discount voucher - you can't say fairer than that.
I remain a loyal customer.

We've been on several group trips with Exodus to destinations such as India and Jordan where we'd rather let some one else do the organising. In all cases these trips have been excellent with wonderful guides and well designed itineraries. We have always returned with happy memories.
In cases where things have gone wrong Exodus have never disappointed us with their service. During one case our plane was diverted at the start and we joined the tour 3 days late. But despite this Exodus organised everything, including a driver, required to let us catch up. Equally during the pandemic our trip was cancelled twice and in the end we decided to take a full refund which Exodus handled properly.
Having just returned from our latest trip we're already considering where we can go next. It's possible that we wouldn't bother to use Exodus in Europe because we can organise everything ourselves but further afield we'll definitely be travelling with Exodus again.

Fabulous company and trip
We went overland from Cape Town to Zimbabwe through Botswana and Namibia. What a fantastic trip. Our first time with Exodus although we have travelled extensively around the world. We would highly recommend this company for such a brilliant trip - we got everything and more all at a good price. Thanks to everyone involved. We are looking at our next trip!

Exodus are generally a good travel company. Things tend to run smoothly and trips well organised.
Their customers tend to be at retirement age. Trips are a bit overpriced. I would also avoid trips in Europe, as these often focus on more coffee stops and meals, rather than walking.
I would also recommend making sure your guide records any accidents you have, hopefully not applicable. I had one on Sierra de Aitana which the guide saw and knew about, but he and Exodus said it never happened when I followed up after the trip. I wasn’t putting in a claim, just suggested a safety improvement. They have since apologised and acknowledged this as an error.
They are a good reliable option for outside of Europe trips.

Food came quickly. Staff very friendly and polite . However the chef or person preparing the food did not seem to read the menu! If it says a meal should come with vegetables, you should not have to ask for them. They served shepherds pie with garlic bread! The munchies ice cream sundae said it should come in a glass with a flake but came in a little bowl with just a few munchies! When asking the staff were happy to replace and correct but customer should get what they order and what menu says first time round!!

I had the pleasure of doing the Inca Trail, Peru 5 day hike/camp with Exodus and the entire trip exceeded my expectations. I always felt well taken care of, informed and listened to. Our trail guide William was an expert professional with a great sense of humor and expertise. Rolan our second lead was an exceptional photographer and also wonderful to work with. Everyone from the Porters to hotel staff, made this is a once in a lifetime experience. I highly recommend Exodus for your next adventure. I will be talking about this trip into my old age. Highly recommend Exodus and their team!

If you like to be mistreated Exodus is perfect for you. If you enjoy terrible choices for hotels and pseudo restaurants Exodus is perfect for you.
Careless about their clients and loveless about their propositions. Exodus has been a dissatisfaction and disappointment about every dealing i and my group have had with him. Especially a man called Simone who just cares about the money he can get from you couldn’t care less about service.

I am a staff member currently working for Exodus. As part of my role I was able to join a group on a trip to Italy. 'Puglia: Discover the heel of italy'.
Honestly our local guide was brilliant. She kept us informed on each day's activities, was knowledgeable and had plenty to tell us about the history, sites and geography of the areas we visited.
The food was absolutely wonderful and the leader always made time to give us recommendations where we were heading out for lunch without her.
We were transferred to each location on a private minibus which was always a nice touch. I was also greatful that we got to stay in traditional accommodation as well as regular hotels.
Staying in a real Trulli house was a once in a lifetime experience, and to visit cities like the historical Matera was made even more special because of our guide.
Some may say the review is biased, but I went on a regular trip to experience exactly what our clients experience. I stayed in the same accommodation and followed the same itinerary. Honestly, I firmly believe the additional value Exodus group trips bring to a holiday, and the experience it provides is second to none.

I have been on at least three trips with Exodus. Their office people are friendly and helpful. They are people who like to do similar things and usually you can find someone who personally has done your trip. The trips themselves are well organised and well supported. Mine were all hiking. Our guides have by and large been excellent. The itinerary lets you see the best of the place you go and makes exploring easy and satisfying. My trips have all been special memories and leave me feeling I have personally achieved something special

We had a week walking and wine in the Duro valley with two local guides Louis and Theresa. They were both exceptional, knowledgeable, professional and funny. Our group of 11 had a great time. This was a premium tour. Our 4 star hotels were both well located clean and with great views. We had several local meals arranged by our guides with local people cooking for us. We did not meet any other walkers during our hikes only two shepherds. I would certainly recommend this tour to anyone interested in the local produce and wine. We both felt as we had learnt a lot about Portugal during this tour. We will use Exodus again. One of our group had done 30 tours with Exodus over the years. Quite an endorsement.

I went cycling in Albania with exodus as my first holiday with them. Such a well organised and wonderful experience where I met multiple fellow travellers who have been advocates of them for many years. You can't argue with happy repeat customers and I'm planning my next adventure with them soon

I'v just come back from an amazing Wildlife & Wilderness trip in Botswana and I highly recommend Exodus Travels. Our guide Brian, was extremely knowledgeable on both the wildlife and history of Botswana and neighbouring countries. The other three staff, Abbis, Chief & Mr T, who accompanied us through out our 2 week trip, put in the hard work and made sure our camp was always prepared and that we we're well fed and looked after. The tour took us to some beautiful places and we saw some amazing wildlife, and on several occasions this was due to Brian's knowledge of the area and wildlife behaviour.
Exodus have been very quick to respond to any queries I had, and the whole experience ran smoothly. I was also pleased to hear that during lockdown they provided staff with food packages 👍.
I'd normally go on self organised trips, however, with this trip, the tour and guide Brian took us to places not possible otherwise and showed us things that we would'v missed out on. All of which were the highlights of the tour.

I went on a walking holiday - level 3 - in the Tuscan mountains. Our guide, Sara, really made the experience enjoyable, when I struggled, she had alternatives and solutions that made sure I didn’t miss out on anything. It was well organised, the group was a lovely small size of 8; and the food was exceptional. I highly recommend using this agency, as a first time for me, I would book again.

Just returned from Exodus Premium North to South holiday. Had a fantastic time, the hotels and food were amazing and would recommend this trip. We saw India at its best.
My 3rd Exodus holiday all in Asia, China Vietnam and Cambodia.
Next on my bucket list for 2025 is Japan, just wish that the 20% travel dates where later in the year.

Exodus offer an opportunity to see the Vietnam from off the beaten track, to experience the country with the help of a knowledgeable, friendly and efficient guide. The cycling is varied and superb, the backup is second to none. From initial enquiry to end of holiday all is taken care of with meticulous planning, friendly and efficient staff and communication. An excellent experience and great value for money

This is an excellent hiking trip with a good selection of routes in the beautiful and little known region of Sierra de Aitana, yet close to major tourist destinations so easily accessible. Leading the visit, Jose Miguel is the highly knowledgeable mountain guide who lives locally, spending 2 years creating the maps for the region, and knows all about the history, culture, nature and local attractions. He is personable and leads with enthusiasm, sharing stories to enrich the experience. The accommodation is clean and comfortable, with stunning views over the mountains. If you like hiking, this is an excellent trek and well worth doing.

Yet another incredible Exodus cycle trip - this time Mongolia. Quality of the team, equipment, the food, the itinerary were all exceptional. The country is STUNNING and the cycling was varied and at times challenging but there was always the van for those who needed a break. Would highly recommend...

I've just done a walking trip in Cappadoccia and cannot recommend it highly enough. The walks in this otherworldly landscape were amazing. The balloon ride was a wondrous. And this was all while staying in great accommodation, using short local trips out and having a knowledgeable and helpful local guide. Well done Exodus!

A wonderful trip! Sierra de Aitana Trek
I couldn't speak more highly of this trip. The scenery was absolutely stunning; the areas provided a great variety of walks with spectacular views. The accommodation was perfectly situated to start most of the walks directly from the hotel. It was also within walking distance of the bars and restaurants in Benimantell and Guadalest. Having said that, the food at the hotel was wonderful and so there was little need to venture further afield. Homecooked, nourishing and delicious food from the hotel was perfect fuel for the trekking.

We had just the most fantastic experience on this trek, particularly due to our guide Valerie Parkinson and assistant guide Suroj. They kept the trek engaging and fun even though it is a challenging effort to complete. Valerie's stories about her own exploits were quite interesting and her and Suroj's always positive attitudes kept things fun. We chose this trek in part due to Valerie's presence as we have found that native English-speaking guides add so much to the experience, including because of their familiarity with our own cultural context and thus ability to describe things better in ways with which we connect.
The itinerary of the trek was very well planned out, including thoughtfully trying to minimize our interaction with the surprisingly large crowds on the trail. The night spent at base camp was a real highlight, with the opportunity to walk on the foot of the Khumbu ice fall being such an unforgettable experience - everyone on our trek expressed sadness for all the other trekkers who make it to base camp rock and then have to turn around and head back down immediately. The trip also included nice cultural experiences, including the informative Sherpa Museum and recycling-promoting Sagamartha Next. We felt as if we learned quite a lot on the trek.
Make no mistake – this trek is challenging and we saw many people on the trail who were struggling to keep going. There are only very small sections that are relatively flat, so you are going up or down almost constantly. The altitude also is definitely noticeable, as is the cumulative effect of less than ideal sleep and food. It also seems as if everybody on our trek and the others we saw had a cold - you are in such tight quarters with your group and other groups in the tea houses that any cold is sure to spread quickly. Do not expect too much from the tea houses and food and you will be happily surprised at their attempts at cleanliness and variety of food.
An excellent trek that we highly recommend for anybody who wishes not just to make it to base camp but even spend a night there – a real treat. If you get a chance to travel with Valerie, whether in Nepal or India, we would certainly highly recommend it. Thanks Valerie and Suroj!

We usually travel with Exodus on small group holidays and have visited many countries with them. They employ local guides which as well as giving us information and history of the sites also gives employment to the local people. The hotels are always good and the guides know the local places to eat.

BE WARNED! Exodus have just cancelled my trip. They were not transparent in all their correspondence to me that I was the only person booked on this trip. If I had known I would have not booked my flights. They are very quick to send you their invoices and asking you to complete your full details before confirming the holiday will take place! This leads you into thinking that the holiday will take place. My advice is: DO NOT BOOK YOUR FLIGHTS UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE (although this might cause you problems finding flights or at a cost!). This is the first time, and I hope the only time, I have written a bad review. Will I use Exodus again? Absolutely not and if there was a 0 star they would get it.
